Oberon Prefinished Hardwood Flooring : The Alpha Collection
Oberon is an exceptionally beautiful hardwood floor that radiates with warmth and vibrant energy. This particular floor was designed using ultraviolet hardwax oils, a relatively newer hardwood finishing technology which allows for the oils in the finish to bond to the hardwood almost instantly. The advantages of finishing with an ultraviolet machine is that the wear-layer is much tougher and more durable than a standard oil finish would be.
Ultraviolet oil finish is a hybrid between oil and urethane, and generally borrows the longevity of oil floors and the hardness of urethane floors. This hardness makes this flooring option great for residential living spaces, as well as light commercial areas such as office buildings. As an oil finish, proper maintenance of the finish can result in a long lifespan upwards to twenty years before a sand and refinish would be required.
Oberon derives the majority of its charm from the platform on which it is finished. White Oak is a renowned hardwood for its unique grain patterns, its sprawling knots, and natural feel that lends so well to this prefinished floor. White Oak is a sturdy platform that makes for a solid foundational floor. The articulation of this color finish displays wonderfully throughout the variations of this wood species. This wood species is sure to impress your friends and family and is durable enough to last through wear and tear over the years.
